Paris · Weddings & Private Events
Twenty guests around one table changes everything about the music. There is no dancefloor to fill and no back of the room to reach. A full production would flatten the evening and a playlist would leave it flat. What an intimate wedding needs is one real voice at close range, and the judgement to know when to stop singing. Nourith performs for small weddings across France, and will tell you plainly when a smaller format is the better one.
Questions
Usually a voice with a single instrument, or Solo Voice and DJ from 2,500 EUR, which covers the ceremony, the dinner and the dancing with one artist. A trio suits a larger room. A full live band in a small dining room is loud, expensive and wrong, and she will say so before you book it.
Often a short one, and it works better late and unannounced. With twenty five people a floor cannot be filled by volume, only by the right three songs at the right moment. That is a judgement made in the room on the night, not a plan made in March.
Frequently not, and it sounds better without. In a private dining room, a chapel or a sheltered garden, an unamplified voice at three metres is the most intimate sound available to you. Amplification is added only where the space or the open air demands it.
Yes, and those are among the most moving performances of the year. A ceremony with two people, two witnesses and a singer is a bespoke configuration, quoted on request, and the answer depends on the date and where in France you are standing.
