Paris · Weddings & Private Events
A wedding in the Alps is a wedding with a road behind it. The last kilometre to a chalet can be snow, ice or a track no van will take, the rooms are wooden and low, and half your guests spent the day on the mountain and arrive at dinner with tired legs. Altitude, cold and access decide what can physically be brought up. Nourith plans the evening around the chalet as it is, then builds a night that starts gently and finishes properly.
Questions
With planning, yes. The final access is confirmed before the format is chosen: whether a vehicle reaches the door, whether a transfer by resort service or four wheel drive is needed, and how long the carry is. A compact configuration in February is often the right answer, not a compromise.
Warm, forgiving and smaller than it looks. Timber absorbs where stone reflects, so a voice sits beautifully in a chalet and a large system is unnecessary. Low ceilings mean the level is set for the room, and the full Live Band usually needs a hotel or resort venue rather than a chalet salon.
Later than you would think, and after dinner. An alpine guest list arrives tired at eight, warms up over two hours, and finds its energy near eleven. The set is built for that curve, quiet through dinner and building afterwards, rather than peaking while people are still eating.
Yes, and they are strict in villages built around sleeping guests. Chalets sit close together and most communes hold a firm outdoor curfew, so the outdoor part of the evening ends early and the rest continues inside. It is confirmed with the venue before the timings are fixed.
